Have you ever wanted to attend a CHIME Boot Camp but were ineligible? Now you can! The CHIME CIL Boot Camp is open to ALL working in provider organizations or looking for work in provider organizations. You don’t have to be a CHIME Member to participate in this boot camp!

The Clinical Informatics Leadership Boot Camp™ is an intensive three- and one-half-day education program taught by a faculty of healthcare CI thought leaders. Combining presentations, small group discussions, case studies and interactive problem solving, participants learn the real-world skills necessary to become a successful healthcare Clinical Informatics Leader. In celebration of our first in-person program since the pandemic began, we are expanding the program by a full day and including lots of new content.
Program Eligibility: Participation in the Boot Camp is not currently limited to members of CHIME, but participants must be currently working in a provider organization. CIL Success Factors
Through extensive research, CHIME has identified critical and develop-able competencies that are inherent of successful clinical informatics leaders. These CIL Success Factors form the foundation of the CIL Boot Camp teachings. Gaining an understanding of the six critical skills intrinsic in high-performing CILs, participants will learn how to apply them to their own situation.

Don’t delay! Space in the Boot Camp is limited to a maximum of 40 participants. The registration fee includes all program materials as well as breakfasts, lunches, receptions, and group dinner. Cancellation Policy:

The Clinical Informatics Leadership Boot Camp is designed for clinical informatics professionals seeking to heighten their leadership skills and advance their careers. This one-of-a-kind program is appropriate for C-level informaticists (CNIO, CHIO, CDO, CMIO, etc.) and informatics leaders at the assistant or associate level, directors, or managers of clinical informatics.
During this intensive 3 ½ day program, participants will build and maintain relationships with other clinical informatics executives who have shared professional interests. Working together with other attendees and faculty leaders in the field, participants will grow their skills and knowledge base by:
- Analyzing what a transformational strategy is and how it relates to digital strategies
- Justifying what tools and techniques work for a transformational strategy for a specific entity
- Aligning individual IT strategy to individual organizational strategy
- Identifying priorities within a transformational strategy – Case Study: Part 1
- Analyzing the elements that influence an environment of change
- Justifying the use of a change framework for a specific situation or individual entity
- Developing a plan to sustain change
